Join world-renowned equine cardiologist Professor Gunther van Loon for a comprehensive and practical session on equine heart health — from the basics of cardiac function to the latest diagnostic and treatment techniques used in top-level equine medicine.
Professor Gunther van Loon is Professor of Large Animal Internal Medicine at Ghent University (Belgium) and head of both the Equine Internal Medicine Department and the Equine Cardioteam.
A pioneer in equine cardiology, he has developed innovative diagnostic and interventional methods, including cardiac mapping, ablation, and pacing in horses.
He is a past-President of the Belgian Equine Practitioners Society (BEPS) and recipient of the BEVA Clinical Research Award and the Merial Applied Equine Research Award, recognising his outstanding contributions to the advancement of equine cardiac care.
