Hello

I hope you’re keeping well.  I received so many wonderful messages about what Monty meant to people and I’ve replied to every one of them because … well,  you are all special to me.

I’ve been blessed with so many good people who have ‘popped up’ in my life and I just want to thank you again and to say I feel tremendous gratitude. If anyone out there is struggling right now, I want you to allow me a little Woo to say ‘Look for the Angels’ or ‘Look for the Heroes’ if you prefer, because it’s amazing the good people you come to realise are around you, when times are tough that you may not have fully appreciated before.

If you miss hearing Monty’s voice I did an interview for him on Radio 4 recently called The Last Word.   I was going to turn it down as I was worried I might go a bit flaky but the interviewer, Matthew Bannister, was lovely and really helped me through it. He’s on my Heroes list now.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0030125  We start at 21.12 minutes in.

It’s really nice to hear Monty’s voice!  And I love hearing him on this YouTube video as well 😊

And to all you fabulous demo volunteers and attendees  – let me know if this gives you goose pimples or not! Theme from the film Big Country

I remember being at Windsor Castle, in some small office in the grounds, with Monty and Terry Pendry (the late Queen’s Stud Groom), and it was Terry who came up with this music.  Isn’t it perfect?

In ‘Other News!’

We’re ‘nearly there’ with the IH Magazine, which was almost completed when we received the news of Monty’s passing. So, alongside all the articles and features already planned, this issue will also include Remembering Monty – a special tribute to the man who inspired so many and whose influence on horsemanship will never be forgotten.

The weather is still nice here, so make sure you get plenty of time outside and if it does rain remember – ‘you’re not made of sugar’, (as my mother would say).

Lots of Love

Kelly x

PS ‘Keep spreading Monty’s message’ people have said – well we couldn’t do it without YOU so thank you again.😊
