Bolting Basics – How To Begin With A Serial Bolter

Meet Henry, a six-year-old competition pony who was trained from an unbroken four-year-old. Henry and his rider were initially performing “absolutely amazingly”. However, a challenging turn of events last year has led to Henry starting to bolt with his rider, resulting in a couple of accidents. This has caused everything to “go wrong,” and the family is now trying to understand the root cause of the behaviour. The situation has become so serious that they have received a recommendation to have Henry put to sleep!
