Julie Driver – Pilates for Equestrians Webinar – 8pm Wednesday 18th May 2022

On Wednesday 18th May at 8pm – we have Julie Driver Pilates for Equestrians

Julie believes passionately in the power of Pilates, and I’ve been teaching for over 18 years both in the UK and internationally.

In 2014 I won the prestigious international ‘Pilates Anytime Instructor of the Year’ competition and continues to record online classes as a returning visiting Instructor.

With a lifelong passion for equine studies, Julie believes Pilates is the perfect way for riders to improve their technique and create a stronger relationship with their horse.

Julie has had a series of three articles published for ‘Horse and Rider” and ‘Intelligent Horsemanship’ and regularly contributes to Equine and Fitness publications.  Julie has also recorded classes for the Monty Roberts Online Equus University.  To learn more about Julie see her website https://juliedriverpilates.com/

Workshop Information

Are you given the same corrections by your riding instructor everytime?

Do you lose your balance in trot?

Do you feel like your lower leg has a life of its own?

Do you think everything’s under control and where it needs to be, when it needs to be, only to be told it’s not?

You are not alone…

We may think we are using our legs and body to indicate movement, direction and speed but our horse may be ‘hearing/feeling’ something different!

In this fun and interactive webinar Julie will draw on her knowledge of working with riders of all levels to help you overcome common rider issues such as wobbly hands, creeping lower legs and “collapsing” in the saddle.

You’ll  look at how your body moves both in and out of the saddle and use simple Pilates exercises to help you understand why some manoeuvres are easier on the right rein or the left rein and discover how to become more effective and responsive to your horse on either rein.

Pilates is the perfect complementary exercise for the equestrian.

You’ll learn how to improve your alignment, balance and leg position, because the more supple, strong and balanced we are in our own bodies, the easier it is for us to be able to communicate our desired movement simply and effectively.

Workshop Info:
